Uploading photos from the web

Not every photo starts in the JobCam app. A subcontractor texts you a picture, or you shoot with a real camera. The web dashboard at app.jobcamapp.com lets you upload those photos and files them the same way the app does.

What you can upload

• JPEG files only. HEIC, PNG and video are not accepted yet. On a Mac, export HEIC photos as JPEG first.
• Up to 15 MB per file.

How uploads are filed

JobCam reads the GPS position stored inside each JPEG and runs the same matching rules as the phone: an address match first, then a job within the match radius, otherwise Unfiled.

Upload

1. Sign in at app.jobcamapp.com

   Use the same account you use in the app.

2. Choose Upload and pick your JPEG files

   Files that are not JPEG or are over 15 MB are rejected with a message saying why.

3. Let JobCam file them

   Each photo is matched by the GPS position in the file. Photos JobCam cannot place appear in Unfiled, where you can file them singly or in bulk.

Uploaded photos behave like any other

Once uploaded, a photo gets a category and caption, appears in reports and share links, and can be used in the Marketing center.
