Troubleshooting
Fixes for the problems people hit most: photos not filing, uploads stuck, invites failing, posts not publishing.
Updated
Start with the symptom you are seeing. Most fixes take a minute.
Photos keep landing in Unfiled
Look at the reason on the photo. Each one has a specific fix; see The Unfiled inbox. The most common:
- Location off — On iPhone: Settings, then JobCam, then Location, and choose While Using the App. On Android: Settings, then Apps, then JobCam, then Permissions, then Location, and allow it while the app is in use.
- Low accuracy — Automatic filing needs about 50 ft accuracy. Step away from buildings or wait a few seconds before shooting.
- No address — Create the job first, then photos have something to match.
- Several nearby jobs — Tighten the match radius in Settings (100 ft) or merge duplicate jobs.
A photo filed to the wrong job
Open it and choose Move. If two jobs are within a few feet of each other, the GPS radius cannot tell them apart; rely on the "Where does this go?" sheet or tighten the radius.
Uploads are stuck
Open Settings → Backup. Waiting uploads need a connection; failed ones have a Retry button. Photos are saved on the phone first, so nothing is lost while they wait.
I cannot see the Rename, Merge or Delete options
Those are admin-only. See Roles.
An invite code does not work
Codes are single use and expire in 7 days. If the code was locked to an email, sign in with that address. Ask an admin for a fresh code.
The web upload rejected my file
Browser uploads accept JPEG only, up to 15 MB. Convert HEIC or PNG to JPEG and try again. If the photo lands in Unfiled, the file has no GPS position; file it by hand.
A scheduled post did not publish
Open the post on the calendar to see the error. Usually the channel needs to be reconnected in Integrations. Reconnect, then retry the post.
Instagram will not connect
Instagram publishing requires a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page, and the Business plan. See Connect Instagram.
