Renaming, merging and deleting jobs

These actions are available to admins in the app and in the web dashboard. Crew members can view jobs but not change them.

Rename a job

Renaming changes the display name. The address stays the job's identity, so photos taken at that address in future still match the same job.

1. Open the job

   Find it with search or on the map.

2. Choose Rename

   Enter the new name and save.

Merge two jobs

Merging moves every photo from one job into another and removes the empty job. Use it when the same address was created twice, or when a photo prompted "create a job here" a few feet from an existing one.

1. Open the job you want to keep

   This is the destination.

2. Choose Merge and pick the other job

   Photos, captions and categories carry over. Double-check the destination before you confirm.

No photos are lost in a merge.

Delete a job

Deleting asks what to do with the job's photos:

• Keep the photos in Unfiled. The photos stay in your company, marked "Job deleted", so you can file them to another job.
• Delete the photos too. The photos are deleted for everyone, on the web and on every phone.

Whichever you choose, photos still on a crew member's phone that have not uploaded yet land in Unfiled marked "Job deleted", and share links to the job stop working. Anyone who has the job open is taken back to Jobs.

Why you might not see these options

You are signed in as Crew. Ask an admin, or read Roles for what each role can do.
