Jobs and photos
PDF reports
Build a clean photo report for a client, an inspector or your own records.
Updated
A PDF report turns a job's photos into a document you can email, print or attach to an invoice. Reports are available in the iPhone and Android apps and in the web dashboard.
What a report contains
- Cover page with the job name and address.
- Photos at 2 per page (large, good for detail shots) or 6 per page (compact, good for progress logs).
- Captions under each photo, when you include them.
- Prepared by line naming the person or company producing the report.
Reports are US Letter size.
Create a report on the phone
Open the job
Reports are built from one job at a time.
Choose Report
Pick 2 or 6 photos per page, decide whether to include captions and a cover page, and set the prepared-by text.
Share or save
The PDF opens in your phone's share sheet. Send it by email or text message, or save it to Files (iPhone) or your phone's storage (Android).
Create a report in the browser
Open the job in the dashboard at app.jobcamapp.com and choose Report. The same options apply, and the PDF downloads to your computer. This is the easiest route when you want to print.
A report made in the browser holds up to 300 photos. For a bigger job, select the photos you want on the job page and choose Report from the selection bar.
Tips for a report clients like
- A caption like "North wall framing, ready for electrical" tells the story on its own.
- Use 2 per page when the photos are the evidence (damage, defects, completed finishes).
- Use 6 per page for weekly progress updates.
- Put the client's name or the permit number in the prepared-by line if that is how they file paperwork.
Plans
PDF reports are included on every plan. See Billing during the demo.
